PHOTO ETCHED:
Photo Etched Soft Enamel
With lighter weight of 0.8mm thick of brass, photo etching is a good choice for large sized designs or for pins with flashing lights inlaid. It is cheaper and lighter than die struck soft enamel pins while colors can be as multiple as die struck soft enamel pins. But photo etching can not be made in 3D cubic because all the motifs are etched with chemical acid, the depth is shallow. With techniques improved nowadays, we can fulfill more complicate designs. Epoxy covering is optional at request.
Material : Standard thickness is 0.8mm brass plate.
Colors : Soft Enamel (Liquid stage)
Motifs : Made by etching with acid chemical.
Color Chart : Pantone Book.
Production Procedures: Preparing Films → Transferring motifs from film onto the sheet of brass → Motifs etched by acid chemical → Color Filling (sheet by sheet instead of piece by piece) → Baking at temperature of 160°C → Polishing (sheet by sheet, too) → External Shape Cutting → Attachment Soldering → Binding Before Plating → Electroplating → Epoxy Covering If Necessary → Packing.
